American Printing, Inc. was founded in 1927 as the American Printing and Publishing Company. Owned and operated by the Hall family since 1966, our long-standing stability and success is a true testament to hard work and traditional values.
Clark E. Hall began working at American Printing in 1952 after graduating from Hower Vocational High School. In 1966, Clark continued working as a pressman, but also started making sales calls on existing and potential clients. Shortly thereafter, he - along with three other employees - purchased the American Printing and Publishing Company. Upon retirement of the other owners, Clark became the sole proprietor and changed the name to American Printing, Inc.
Today, Clark's four adult children continue their father's vision with son David having been named president in 1993. The company is committed to treating customers with the same respect as we have for more than 40 years, yet has evolved our capabilities and services to remain current with today's highly dynamic industry.
On Sunday, July 9, 1995, neighbor children broke out windows of the North Arlington printing plant and threw lit fireworks inside. The building burned quickly with nothing salvageable. Soon after, we moved to our current location on Tower Drive in North Akron.
